Joining Our Sisterhood
Becoming a member in a sorority can be very rewarding and a lot of fun! There are also commitments that come with being a member. Here are some things to keeping in mind when you are deciding whether or not to join.
-Your education is extremely important to us and is the primary reason you're even in college. We require all members to have a cumulative G.P.A. of 2.5 and a semester G.P.A. of 2.0 in order to be in good standing with the chapter.
-There is also a time commitment to the sorority. We have weekly chapter meetings that currently take place on Tuesdays at 7:30pm. We also have other events such as Sisterhood, Ritual, and Philanthropy that members are required to attend. Each sister must attend 85% of the events in order to be in good standing.
-Being a member of the chapter also involves paying semester dues. Member dues are $200 each semester. Dues help pay for things like chapter operation, insurance, recruitment, events, and supporting our national charity, the Robbie Page Foundation. New members do not pay semester dues the semester they join, instead they pay a one-time new member fee and Initiation fee which pays for insurance, paperwork and processing with the National office. Our New Member programming is all done online, we are one of the only National Social sororities to offer this.
